Our Traditions

Lower School Grandparents' Day

Each spring, Roeper hosts Lower School Grandparents' and Special Persons' Day, a beloved event featuring creative student performances, engaging classroom visits, and a lively morning on campus.
Founders' Day

Each year, the day after commencement, the Roeper community gathers to honor George and Annemarie Roeper.
Commencement

Relationships are central at Roeper. Each senior selects an adult member of the community to introduce them at commencement.
Martin Luther King, Jr Candlelight Walk

Since 1987, Roeper has annually hosted an evening celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Junior-Senior Dinner

The junior class honors the senior class by planning and preparing a dinner for the seniors and their families.
Peace Day

Founded by the United Nations, International Day of Peace is held annually on September 21.
Alex Frank Poetry Collective

To honor the remarkable life of Alex Frank ’95, the annual Alex Frank Poetry Collective brings together students in a salute to poetry and as a means to ensure the continuing commitment to this meaningful art form. The collective features readings from Roeper students, teachers, and alumni.
