The Roeper Theatre Company has distinguished itself with a rich history of adventurous productions, outstanding quality, and an exciting creative environment for students. Three main stage productions are performed each year, representing a broad repertoire that extends from classical to contemporary pieces. Recent notable productions include Into the Woods, Hair, Henry V, and The Government Inspector. Both middle and upper school students are given the opportunity to participate in all aspects of production and to work with some of the area's most respected theater artists.
In addition, students have their choice of several classes exploring the diverse facets of theater and have opportunities to produce their own work at the end of the school year. All RTC projects place an emphasis on the unique insight into oneself and one's community that is to be gained through theatrical collaboration.
"The Roeper Theatre Company is dedicated to actively promoting the Roeper Philosophy by producing diverse, socially conscious theatre that celebrates the indomitable human spirit and encourages peace, justice, courage, and reconciliation."
