In celebration of Black History Month, The Bridge has launched a new website to serve as a catalyst for promotion, affirmation, engagement, celebration, and empowerment of and for Roeper Black alumni, families, faculty, and staff.

The website currently features pioneers in Roeper’s Black history who paved the way for the future of our Black Roeper community, including biographies for Roeper’s first Black teacher, student, board member, and more. We invite you to visit the site and continue to check back often as it grows and evolves with additional biographies, fun facts, and resources.

Roeper Black History Celebration

We are grateful for the vision and commitment of The Bridge members and community collaborators for their support in realizing this extraordinary project.

The Bridge is an affinity group for African-American alumni of Roeper. It is an amalgamation of the paralleled history of the school and the legacy of hundreds of Black students over nearly 80 years. It is an acknowledgment and celebration of a particular journey and an eagerness to be the bridge that complements the Roeper philosophy and the deep fondness shared by all.
