Photography Workshop Camp

Photography Workshop Camp teaches campers how to work in a wet lab darkroom. The darkroom experience is a wonderful way for campers interested in photography to explore the magic of black and white pinhole photography using an authentic darkroom. This is a hands-on experience for students currently in 6th to 11th grades. Campers shoot a variety of pinhole cameras starting with the standard oatmeal container and produce paper negatives, make positives and learn how to hand-color black and white photographs. All materials are provided. Campers also have the opportunity to scan their pinhole images and work on them in Photoshop. In addition, campers are able to work with digital images that they bring with them to camp.

In case of inclement weather in which campers are unable to go outside, campers will use digital equipment. Each session is limited to 10 students.

Session 1: June 22 - June 26, 9am-3pm

Cost: $325 per session

Photography Workshop Camp is led by Roeper faculty member, Michelle Stamler. Michelle holds a Bachelor Degree in Art History from Oakland University.
