Congratulations to the eleven members of Roeper Model United Nations who participated in the 49th Great Lakes Invitational Model United Nations conference in Kalamazoo. Senior Kessonga Allen was awarded Best Delegate for representing Ukraine in the Legal Committee. Participating in their final GLIMUN conference were Seniors Jameson Gerrits (Security Council), Andrew Klein (Special Political Committee), and Jake Brody (Legal Committee).
Other Roeper delegates participating and representing Ukraine were Meira Gable in the World Health Organization; Natalie Gibbs in the UN Women committee, and Phaedon Papadopoulos in Disarmament and International Security. Our Brazilian delegation consisted of Dani Hernanz in Disarmament and International Security, Tristan Ernst-Hodys in the World Health Organization, Goni Wong in the Special Political Committee, and Neel Grover in the United Nations Development Programme.
Roeper delegates did extensive work in research, writing, and caucusing, and represented their nations with distinction. A detailed breakdown of committee topics can be found here: GLICA . Roeper’s GLIMUN advisors are Matt Vallus and Mike Ruddy. Roeper’s next Model UN conference will be the National High School Model UN in New York City in March, 2023. We will be representing Argentina and Norway.
