Clubs on the Birmingham Campus - UMatter Club

UMatter club was created to help support year-round mental health efforts at Roeper. It was formed by senior, Hannah Wise after she started UMatter week. With the help of various students and the support of administration, the club was formed. The club executive committee consists of Hannah Wise as president, Lily Kappa as vice president, Andrew Albrecht as treasurer, Matteo Papadopoulos as secretary, and Audrey Deguia and Bella Vartanian as social media managers. There are also several other members ranging from 9^th to 12^th grade. The club meets during the first half of 7F every week.

 

As of now, the club is working to plan UMatter week, scheduled for May 17^th. They are working to plan virtual and in person events, such as a Zoom guest speaker event, yoga, and other mental health-based actives. However, the club is working to plan other events for black history month, stress awareness month, and nutrition month.
