Passion, choice, and respect have formed the cornerstones of Amanda’s experience at Roeper. This senior loves that the school embraces and allows students to fully pursue their passions. It’s also very important to her that she has freedom over choosing her schedule. When she mentions respect, she points to the unique relationships between faculty and students. “The message at Roeper is that you garner respect because you’re human,” she says. Her Roeper spirit isn’t just confined to the campus. This past summer, she volunteered in Peru to create food programs at schools. She also assisted a farming community by coating canals with cement to make them more efficient. In the fall, Amanda will chase her passions for science and math at the University of Michigan.
