Mathematical Association of America Award Winner

Congratulations to Roeper seventh grader Simran Adnani on receiving the Ronald Mosier Award for Outstanding Student Presentation at the Mathematical Association of America annual meeting!

Simran was invited to present her original proof No Odd Perfect Squares Are Perfect Numbers at Saginaw Valley State University, sharing her work alongside collegiate presenters. Unbeknownst to participants, presentations were evaluated by a panel of seven judges—and Simran's stood out.

She was presented with a book with a book plate describing Ronald Mosier's achievements.

As part of her invitation to present at the MAA Michigan meeting, Simran was also awarded a travel grant in recognition of the strength of her work.

This is an exceptional accomplishment, and we are so proud of Simran’s intellectual curiosity, creativity, and dedication. Her achievement reflects the depth of her thinking and the passion she brings to her work.

Simran’s journey was featured in our latest issue of Keeping in Touch.
