The schedule for the 2023-2024 school year will feel largely familiar to Birmingham students and families: the day will start at 8:15, contain six course blocks, plus shared lunch/homeroom advisory time, and conclude at 3:10 (sixth graders will also have end-of-day homeroom advisory time throughout first semester, ending at 3:30).
These are the changes:
Instead of a three-day cycle, it will be a six-day cycle (A-F rather than A-C)
Instead of a C-Day community block, our shared community time will occur on blocks A and D days.
Also, several days throughout the year have been designated as “R” days, where community programming will take place. Taking these days out of the letter-day rotation will help to minimize disruption to class meeting times.
Our schedule continues to evolve to meet the needs of our community.
