Zizi Newhard '23 in the News

2023 Roeper graduate, Zelia (Zizi) Newhard was recently featured in a news article in the Eagle when she committed to fencing for Division 1 team at Duke University. She proved herself to be so much more than a Championship and Division 1 fencer while gracing the halls of Roeper. She was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and took several advanced courses on the Malone School Online Network. She is also passionate about environmental and sustainability issues, creating a compost project and founding the Beekeeping Club at Roeper. Her activism was recognized by the Roeper faculty who overwhelmingly voted her as the recipient of Chatham University's Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award.
