Limited spaces remain in the Roeper Summer Programs Day Camp for children ages 3 thru 12. For 76 years, Roeper has been providing an enriching summer program for children in metropolitan Detroit. Attending a camp is a great way for children to gain valuable social skills and learn how to make new friends. Camp life is part of your child’s total education.
Speak Out: Forensics Camp is a two-week program (July 17–28) for students in grades 6–8 that uses plays, stories, poems to focus on the details of performance and public speaking. Participants explore different techniques that address line interpretation, character development, stage fright, body language, improvisational theater, and finding ways to connect with their own emotions and with their audience through the words of their piece. Students work with one of the top forensics coaches in the state of Michigan.
Science Camps: Explore and expand your science knowledge in one of our one-week camps: Robotics Challenge camp (June 26-30) designed for students in grades 5–7 where students build, program, drive, and troubleshoot VEX IQ Robotics; or Makerspace Exploration and Creation camp (July 24-28) where students learn how to use various tech tools in the Roeper Makerspace to complete creative projects that find solutions to everyday problems.
