Eighth Grade students, under the direction of teacher, Wendy Mayer, learn the scientific method by conducting a scientific experiment of their own from defining the question to drawing conclusions. The experience concludes when they share their process and findings in some kind of display with fellow students, parents and teachers. A tricky part of the process is collecting data to use to reach conclusions and this is taken care of on 8th Grade Experiment Night. This year, 98 students in grades 6-12 participated in 16 different experiments run by 8th graders to collect data for their 8th grade experiments.
