Black History Month: Charles McGee 1924-2021

In collaboration with LS art teacher Shoshanna Utechenik, Amber and Karen's Stage I class created artwork in the style of the late Charles McGee, an iconic, Detroit artist. The class studied his work and created all types of pieces inspired by him, including watercolor paintings in black and white, string art based on his “Black Echo II” piece, and line art using black Sharpies.
