Roeper Review - James Balmer '70

Carolyn Borman
The Roeper Institute is a nonprofit corporation affiliated with Roeper which "functions to advance the core values and ideals of the Roeper philosophy both within the school and to a larger community." One of its activities is to publish The Roeper Review, an international journal on gifted education. It is also involved in many other interesting initiatives.

Of particular interest to us in this issue of The Roeper Review is its "Ask the Expert" series. The most recent installment is about the work of James Balmer '70 who was one of the first students enrolled at the school. He attended until late elementary school and in the article shares the impact made on him by the Roepers and the school. We hope you enjoy reading about James Balmer who is "the President of Dawn, Inc., which operates the Dawn Farm treatment and support facilities for individuals with drug and alcohol problems."
