When 17-year-old Lukas is finished reviewing contracts and dissecting business plans for his Torts, Contracts and Property Law class at Roeper, you’ll find the senior in the jazz band strumming his guitar. He’s been playing the instrument since 7th grade, so it’s no surprise that Lukas is also heavily involved in musicals at Roeper. He acts and builds sets, too. For his senior project, Lukas challenged himself to build an off road go-kart. “Close your eyes and open your ears,” says Lukas. That’s what he tells other students when they visit Roeper so they can appreciate the diverse conversations and interactions happening at the school. This year Lukas is a Student Rep on Roeper’s Board of Trustees, he played on the soccer team and participates in MUN. He plans to study engineering and economics or engineering and business at college in the fall. Lukas is a #RoeperKid.
