Introducing Misty Sharp!

Carolyn Borman
This is one in a series of news posts about new members of the Roeper faculty and staff sharing a little about themselves through their answers to our questions. Please join us in welcoming them to our community.

From Abha Dearing: “Misty is bright, spirited, open and passionate about kids and music. Besides being tremendously talented herself as a singer, flautist and on several other instruments, Misty has vast experiences teaching kids all over the US in highly competitive realms.  Misty also composes and produces music and is well-versed in the ever- evolving music technology field. She is caring, warm and infuses her natural humor and joy in the classroom. We are so thrilled to have Misty join our Performing Arts Department.”

I would love to teach music production and technology because music technology has changed how music is created and in the professional world of music producing has become a must know knowledge.
  1. What is it that appealed to you about Roeper when you took the job?
I believe everybody is gifted in their own way and when I learned The Roeper School provides gifted education to gifted students, I knew I could contribute greatly by providing support in a mission to educating and understanding the gifted child.
