Growing Up is Hard Work

Learning to be part of a group that expects you to listen, share, wait, take turns and get along isn’t easy. But every day, these youngest of students do it with joy and openness to all around them. As they struggle into jackets, put on their own mittens for the first time, help cook or clean up, the smiles of delight as they discover what they are capable of are pure magic. We constantly celebrate what may seem like small steps to adults but are giant victories for young children. As we recognize the strengths in each child, we nurture the areas in which help is needed. Working with these students at their pace—not ours—guarantees their success and develops their desire to meet new challenges. They trust that they will receive help when they need it but are encouraged to try to do new things on their own when they are ready.

Step 1: Contact Us

Attend an Admissions Event or or join an upcoming campus tour led by Admissions Associate Kellie Bagne (248-203-7397) to learn about our program and to see Roeper students and teachers engaging with each other on a typical day.

Step 2: Submit an Admissions Application

Create a My Roeper Account and submit the Application along with the application fee online here. The Application fee is $75. Fees for applications submitted before December 1, 2023 are being waived.
Step 3: Submit a Financial Aid Application

If you are applying for need-based financial aid, begin the process at this link Clarity app.

Financial aid is available for students in Stage I who attend the 5-day, full-time program.
Step 4: Schedule a Parent Interview

Contact your admissions associate to schedule a parent interview.
Step 5: Submit Academic Records and Teacher Report Form (if your child has attended school)

Send a signed Academic Records Release Form to your child’s current school. The school should submit copies of your child’s most recent academic report.

From your MyRoeper account, digitally send the teacher report form to your child’s current teacher, which will be returned in confidence to the admissions department.
Step 6: Schedule Classroom Observation

Once you complete all the above, you will be invited to bring your child to Roeper for a classroom observation. During the visit, they will experience a typical day with other students, and teachers will have an opportunity to observe your child in the classroom setting.

Someone from the admissions department will contact you to arrange this visit.

Once all the above steps are complete, your child’s file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. In certain cases, an additional interview or evaluation may be requested. If accepted, an offer of enrollment will be extended. In order to reserve a place for your child, this enrollment contract should be signed and submitted with the deposit by the date indicated.
