Reyne '17

Meet Reyne, a senior at The Roeper School and vice-president of the Gender Blender Club. The club is a lunch group that discusses issues related to sexuality, gender and gender identity. Reyne is nonbinary, meaning they are neither male nor female, and they use the pronouns they/them/theirs rather than the binary pronouns he/him/his or she/her/hers. “It’s a big part of me and I want people to know,” says Reyne. “It’s not everything I am, but society should know how we feel.” Reyne applied early decision to Middlebury College where they will attend this fall. Reyne’s favorite classes are Organic Chemistry and Art. They ski competitively across the country and have trained with an Olympic coach. Reyne is confident that the passion for education they have gained at Roeper will serve them well at college next year. They’re a #RoeperKid.
