Jennifer and Mara's Class Visits Upland Hills Farm

Jennifer Allen
Our Stage I class has a love for animals and we wanted to plan a day that we could spend with all family members that could join us.... this took us to Upland Hills Farm for our end of the year trip.

When we arrived Farmer Dawn took us on a tour and started out with the baby chicks. We saw chickens and ducks, learning how quickly they become full grown. Then we headed to the barn to milk Fern the cow and everyone who wanted to give it a try could. We ended our tour by playing with some goats and visiting the pigs.

Next we headed out on a hayride which was a great way for families to connect and chat as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We made a stop to explore the amazing enchanted trail. The children connected with nature as they looked for hidden fairies, checked out the garden scenes, and watched for wildlife. We wrapped up our time on the farm with some time to explore the playground and had a picnic lunch.
