RPC Coffee Talk - December 16, 8:30 am, Steward Building

The RPC is excited to welcome Dr. Jalonne L. White-Newsome to speak to our community. Dr. White-Newsome, a Roeper parent and a Detroit native, is the Senior Director for Environmental Justice for the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She has spent her career tackling environmental challenges from a wide range of positions and perspectives..

In her talk, "Life Lessons: Inspiring Parents & Empowering Our Children", Dr White-Newsome will share seven tips/life lessons to inspire parents and empower our children to explore relationships, encourage self esteem and embrace imperfection.  She will share her story as she made her way from Detroit to the White House, balancing her own life while working to advance environmental Justice for low income communities, communities of color and Indigenous communities across this nation.
