  • E. E. Ford Foundation 2018 Educational Leadership Grant

    Roeper receives an E. E. Ford Foundation 2018 Educational Leadership Grant to support a 3-year public-private collaboration between Roeper and Detroit Public Community Schools District.
  • The Roeper Review

    The Roeper Review was founded by George and Annemarie Roeper in 1978. Its mission is to publish thought-provoking, informative articles that deal with research, observation, experience, theory and practice as they relate to the growth, emotions, and education of gifted and talented learners and to the cultures in which they live. The quarterly, peer-reviewed journal is edited by Don Ambrose, professor of graduate education at Rider University. Both hard copy and online subscriptions are available from Routledge, an academic imprint of the Taylor and Francis Group.   • Sponsoring Presentations and Workshops

    The Roeper Institute sponsors periodic presentations/workshops on a variety of topics in the field of gifted education. Presenters have included members of the Roeper Review Editorial Advisory Board and noted gifted education experts Donald Ambrose, Jim Delisle, Stephen Schroeder-Davis, and Dr. Joyce VanTassel-Baska. In honor of the Roeper School's 75th anniversary, The Roeper Institute and the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University Law School co-sponsored A Matter of Equity, a day-long symposium for Detroit educators and policy-makers on identifying and educating underserved gifted children.
  • Qualitative Assessment Method, Annemarie Roeper, Ed.D.

    Due to a generous grant from the Malone Family Foundation, The Roeper Institute documented the Qualitative Assessment Method of Annemarie Roeper. It is available to educators and researchers in the field of gifted education.   • Published Books

    The Roeper Institute has published books and other materials based on Roeper Review content. In 2013, The Roeper School: A Model for Holistic Development of High Ability, a book edited by Professor Ambrose and colleagues, was published by Sense Publishers. The book includes descriptions of the multidimensional education provided at The Roeper School, with chapters contributed by leading researchers and theorists in the field of gifted education as well as by teachers, administrators, alumni, and students of the school.
