Booster Club

Established in 1982, The Roeper Booster Club was formed to address the specific need of providing visible support for our student athletes. From the initial goal of increasing attendance at sporting events, the club has grown to include:

    • Sponsoring social and recognition events
    • Fund raising
    • Operating the Concessions Stand and Roughrider Spirit Clothing Shop
    • Helping to improve sport-related facilities and equipment
    • Participating in school service projects
    • Working on strategic issues that impact the Roeper Athletic Program

All parents of athletes and friends of Athletics are members of the Club. Booster Club information is communicated and events organized, during the three annual Sports Kick-off Parent Meetings which are held at the beginning of each sports season (fall, winter, spring).

Parents can become directly involved by volunteering for event committees, working on the Executive Committee, and/or attending Booster Club sponsored events.

3:30 to 5:50 pm – CCB

Physical Day is an opportunity for Roeper athletes to obtain their state required physicals at a nominal fee from licensed, experienced doctors. All athletes participating in a MS, JV or Varsity sport need to have a physical on file with the Athletic Office dated on or before April 15 of the previous school year.

Please note that MS requires physicals prior to the start of their season, while JV and Varsity require them prior to the beginning of practice.

Monday, August 12, 2013 - Roeper Golf Outing & Tennis Tournament
Tee-off at 1 pm – Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield

From its simple beginnings in 1995, the Roeper Golf Outing quickly established itself as a first-class fund-raiser on behalf of the students of The Roeper School.  We are proud of our students and have created the Outing as a means of giving them the best programs possible.

Golfers will enjoy a great experience with a limited number of participants (speeding up play), tasty options for lunch and dinner, a variety of snack and drink stations throughout the course, and volunteers  ready to assist with anything you need.

And for non-golfers, a dinner only option is available, as well as a relaxing afternoon of tennis at our Round Robin Tournament (contact Tournament Manager, Susan Savas for details:  susansavas@comcast.net)

Whether you participate to support the school, network with business associates, catch up with old friends, or just enjoy a great day playing golf or tennis, we invite you to join us.

Sincerely,
Dave Flynn, Co-Chair
