At Roeper, College Counseling is a four-year program designed both to inform and to involve students in the process of planning and making choices about their future.
The College Counselor works closely with each student and follows the Roeper philosophy of helping these gifted students realize their full intellectual, emotional and social potential. It is not surprising that Roeper graduates apply to, and are accepted by, a very diverse group of colleges and universities, reflecting their myriad talents and interests.

Mission Statement
The mission of Roeper’s College Counseling Department is to provide Roeper students and their families with the information, tools, and decision-making skills necessary for students to complete all of the steps of the college selection process appropriate for their individual interests:
- Awareness of Self
- Purposes of College
- Exploration of Colleges
- Preparation of College Applications
- Exploration and Application for Financial Aid
- College Selection and Preparation
The College Counseling Department will achieve this mission by working with students and parents in ways that support the philosophy and mission of The Roeper School.
