Roeper Endowment Matching Gift Program
Community Foundation Matching Gift Form

The Roeper School provides an extraordinary education which helps its students to develop into self-motivated learners, independent thinkers and mature young people.  Roeper nurtures and celebrates exceptional talent in a wide range of endeavors, and encourages effort and achievement in areas beyond a student's natural abilities.  Roeper is confident that its alumni will not merely be leaders, but that they will be the kinds of leaders - clear-thinking, moral, and globally responsibility - that communities, workplaces and families need.

In addition, Roeper School has been committed to economic, racial and religious diversity since long before such a commitment was socially acceptable.  This diverse student body enhances the quality of the education that Roeper students receive and enhances their preparation for adult life.  The Board has made a substantial commitment to financial aid to make this diversity a reality.

Providing a Roeper education costs substantially more than the school charges in tuition.  To help cover this shortfall, Roeper School asks for financial support - from alumni and their parents, from current families and from generous individuals, corporations and foundations.  The principal avenue for this financial support is the Annual Fund campaign, in which we ask every member of the community to participate every year.  In addition, from time to time we conduct capital campaigns for specific projects.  We ask for this financial support with a sense of pride that Roeper merits such generosity, and with a sense of responsibility to be good stewards of the money that is contriubted.  And we do both in a way that is characteristic of th school's philosophy and values.

One characteristic of the Roeper philosophy is the celebration of all the diverse achievements and contributions of members of the Roeper community.  We recognize that each member of the community has a different abiility to make financial contributuions.  We are grateful for those who supplement financial support at any level with volunteer services.  In accordance with the school's philosophy, neither form of support entitles the provider to special privilege, and both earn thanks, recognition and respect.

The members of The Roeper School Board of Trustees are proud to support Roeper with time, effort and dedication, as well as money.  Each trustee counts The Roeper School among his or her highest philanthropic prioritites and each is confident that, in asking others to give, we are joining together to support a most worthy cause.

We ask each and every one of the  school's alumni,  friends and current families to join us in giving to Roeper to the greatest extent that financial resources allow.  We ask even those who can make only a nominal contribution to do so, as foundations and other outside providers of funds often consider a high Annual Fund campaign participation rate as essential evidence of internal support without which they will not support our school's request for grants.

Those who give to Roeper make a truly wonderful education possible for exceptional students, support a dedicated faculty and staff, and help ensure that a Roeper education will be avialable for generations of students yet to come.
