ROEPER SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP 2008

The Roeper Summer Science Camp is an opportunity for middle school students who love science to explore science concepts with hands-on activities in real-life situations. We will build science knowledge and experience using inquiry-based activities that employ the scientific method, data collection and pure discovery. Students will learn to relate experimentation and science to the real world in these lively classes.

Science camp is led by The Roeper School science teacher, Wendy Mayer. Wendy holds an Associate’s degree from Schoolcraft College, a Bachelor’s Degree (summa cum laude) in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Science Education from Wayne State University. She has been teaching for five years and currently teaches 8th Grade Science, Health and a multitude of middle school science electives.

Quy Thai, Roeper School and Science Camp instructor, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science from Wayne State University, a Master's Degree in Biological Science from Wayne State University and a Master's Degree in Teaching from Oakland University.  He currently teaches introductory chemistry, introductory biology and environmental science at The Roeper School.  He also coaches Roeper's Upper School Robotics team.
