In the Hill House (for children enrolled two, three, or four days/week) and in the Domes (children enrolled five days/week), Stage I students explore concepts related to language, aesthetics, social behavior, mathematics, etc., in an exploratory, experiential, and shared way. Typical Day
Stage IIIn the Domes, shared inquiry continues in Stage II (Kindergarten and 1st Grade) with more emphasis on expanding academic concepts and skills and the beginnings of self reflection as a learner. Typical Day
Stage III - IVThe entire 12-acre campus becomes the learning and playing field for Stage III (2nd and 3rd Grades) and IV (4th and 5th Grades) students. Housed in the new Steward Classroom building Stage III students experience a time of dynamic and dramatic growth necessary for the self responsibility, other-centeredness, and academic abstractions nurtured in Stage IV. All students at Roeper have opportunities to go to classes with teacher specialists including classes in art, music, dance, p.e., science, French, Spanish, library, and computers. As children get older, they have more and more choice in the selection of these classes.
